Wish Upon a Wedding: Orlando, FL.

This past November 2010 was our Orlando, FL. Chapter Launch Party for Wish Upon a Wedding. It was held at Treasure Tavern. Talk about a fun dinner/show location! I had a blast…. and laughed til’ my stomach hurt (on occasion). I met many local businesses within the Wedding Industry and had the pleasure of meeting our local board of directors including one of the co-founders, Sasha Souza!!!  Here are some pictures including acts from that evening.

Yes! No need to clear your eyes, she was holding herself up by her mouth…

Journey is now “3″… Part II

Journey’s party had to include a theme dessert table. With the fantastic baking help of my Mother in law, the table included a red velvet birthday cake with cupcakes, mini brownie bites, assorted cotton candy baggies, chocolate chip cookies, caramel coated apples, animal crackers, lolli-pops and vintage candy. For drinks there was mini water bottles, juice boxes and homemade “Uptown’s” – Lemonade & Iced Tea.

To keep the kiddie’s busy, there was a bubble machine, which they loved and a Clown (Pattie Cake) also made an appearance!

Patti Cake was great with the children!

The children playing dress up!

I also included a photo backdrop so the children can take pictures. This was great because, once I sent out the “Thank you” cards, the picture of the child was on them… Received many compliments from the parents.  The sign was a template I used from the Wedding Paper Divas (I think!)

At the end of the day… Let’s just say, “The children had fun and I was surely exhausted!” Journey had fun, still talks about her birthday and that’s all that matters to my heart.

Journey is now “3″… Part I

That’s right! My one and only child is now 3 and I am so blessed to have the most charismatic and sweetest child that I know. This past October, her father and I threw her a super Circus Themed party with all the bells and whistles so sit back for a photogenic ride…. She had a blast.

It took me 6 months in planning for this special day with the help of family as well as friends (more like vendors) in order to prepare. First was the invitation, although I wanted to desperately make them I had to outsource and this was no problem because I found the right person for the right job to collaborate with, Imeondesign.

I found Noemi the owner of Imeondesign via my beloved Etsy. Noemi’s shop had the most adorable handmade banner invitations that fit within the Circus Theme well and so she was hired!  In addition, I had to add my own personal touches to the invitations, I designed and added the colorful Clown information tickets!

I set the invitations in kraft boxes, filled with red confetti paper, two colorful crazy shaped balloons, the clown tickets then attached pinwheel lollipops under the top of the boxed tied with a ribbon. The invitations were then shipped with a custom wrapped label with the recipients name (the clipart was provided by TracyAnnDigitalArt also of Etsy).

What’s a birthday party without Party Hats? I found the cutest polk-dot party hats and decided to top them off with pom pom’s…take a look!

And to end off this post (because there’s just so mucho more) lovely hanging poms that I made myself…

Wish upon a wedding: What is that?

Glad you asked! Wish Upon a Wedding is the world’s first nonprofit wish granting organization providing weddings and vow renewals for couples facing terminal illness and serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation. Wish upon a Wedding caught my attention earlier this year (mind you they’ve only been around since this year) as I was searching the internet and came across a video of Christian and Rehanna. Before the video could end I found myself balling and just knew I needed to be apart of this wonderful and selfless organization. Now I am a wish grantor affiliated with the Orlando, FL. chapter and this Sunday (Nov. 14th) will be our Wish Ball!!!

I plan to be in attendance for great food, fun, and gratification in just knowing that I’m accomplishing one of my organizational goals of fulfilling my philanthropic endeavors. *Note to self: Self bring a box of tissues because it’s going to be a long heartfelt night…

A Lingerie Bridal Shower

A special and dear friend of mine (Quianna) contacted me out of the blue one day wanting to know if I could host a bridal shower for her…HOW FUN! So you know I accepted. Quianna’s favorite color is purple and she loves the bling, so it was only right to give a chandelier bling (using purple) “Lingerie Shower”. Check out her invitation below.

Sarah & Justin, Cape Cod MA

Earlier this year, Sarah got in touch with me for her upcoming wedding this past June (I know a late post, but so worth it!). Loving my donations cards via Etsy, she too wanted donation cards, table numbers as well as petal cone cards for her wedding day. Sarah chose apple green (sooo pruuty) and cream as her hue and her wedding day photo’s by Mark Davidson were nothing short of FABULOUS! Below are pictures from the day….

For more photo’s from Sarah & Justin’s wedding I urge to see Mark Davidson’s work and if you are in the Boston area…you may want to check out this upcoming wedding photographer!

The “new kid” on the block!
